This darkfield slider (plate) is for MAGUS microscopes. It was designed for studying unstained transparent samples that can only be viewed using the darkfield technique. The slider has two holes: one with a built-in darkfield aperture and the other is free for the brightfield technique. Due to this design, you can quickly change the microscopy technique.

The MAGUS DFS1 slider is installed in the slot of the Abbe condenser. The plate is only used when working on non-oil (dry) objective with an aperture less than 0.9. The thickness of the cover glass should ideally be no more than 0.17mm and the glass slide no more than 1.2mm. Under these conditions, the contrast of the image will be maximized.
