Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD is a fast but compact wide-angle lens for full-frame cameras. Besides a weather proof construction, this lens has a unique feature - Vibration Compensation (VC). An image stabilizer system that reduces camera shake and allows handheld photography at longer shutter speeds than what is normally required for sharp images. The SP 35mm f/1.8 can also be used on cameras with APS-C sensor where it becomes a fast normal lens. Fast AF with excellent close focus capability The autofocus makes use of Tamron's Ultrasonic Silent Drive (USD), which is both quick and quiet and allows manual override without having to switch the AF lever on the lens. The minimum focus is also exceptionally good - only 20 cm. Rubber gaskets surrounds the front and rear elements to prevent dust and moisture from reaching the delicate interior components, thus providing a carefree ownership. A lens for discerning users The optical quality is very high already at full aperture and the lens easily matches the demands of the market's most high-resolution system cameras. The optical design includes elements made of LD and XLDglass, especially designed to eliminate chromatic aberration. The aperture has nine rounded blades to provide a really soft and dreamy bokeh (background blur).
