A too low humidity for instance does not only cause burning eyes and chapped lips, it also leads to a dry nasal mucosa, which reduces our ability to provide protection against inhaled pathogens.

If the humidity is too high there is a risk of mould formation. This can also be prevented thanks to the indicator.
