MAGUS DF3 Darkfield Condenser NА 0.7–0.9

The darkfield condenser enables the darkfield technique. The darkfield technique is used to obtain the image of unstained translucent samples that do not absorb light well and are invisible in the bright field.

The numerical aperture of the darkfield condenser must exceed the numerical aperture of the objective. Therefore, the condenser works with dry objectives with magnifications from 4x to 40x and N.A. below 0.9.

The darkfield condenser is mounted in the arm instead of the Abbe condenser.

To obtain a contrast image of the sample using the darkfield technique, we recommend using a 0.17mm thick coverslip and a 1–1.2mm thick slide.
