Product description

The Vixen Porta II mount is designed for comfortable and intuitive telescope operation. Its slip clutch friction system allows the telescope to be moved freely without unlocking axis clamps while maintaining stable positioning.

Fine adjustment controls with worm gears enable accurate tracking and precise positioning along both vertical and horizontal axes. The flexible control shafts can be repositioned for optimal observing comfort.

The detachable mount head is secured with a single M10 screw, allowing quick separation from the tripod for transport and storage.

The Vixen-standard dovetail system ensures broad compatibility with many optical tubes, including GP and Sphinx mounting systems.

The accessory tray includes dedicated eyepiece slots and can also hold smaller photographic accessories.

A built-in adjustment tool located beneath the rubber cover allows convenient tuning of the slip clutch friction system.
