It was specially developed to make quick and precise observations in vertical and horizontal alignment with your telescope without having to operate a complicated setup .

It comes with fine adjustment handles for fine tracking of celestial objects.

The dovetail mounting system (Vixen standard) ensures maximum compatibility with a wide range of telescopes.

The mount head can be quickly removed from the tripod using an M10 screw, making the system very portable

The Vixen Porta II mount in detail

Easy to use

The PORTA II does not require a clamp, it has a slip clutch, which means that the mount can be easily adjusted to an object. It automatically holds your position, making it easy for anyone to use.

Very Portable

The Porta II mount head can be disassembled by removing a single screw, making the mount very portable.

Easy to use

The PORTA II adjustment system provides circular slow-motion movement. Grip positions on both altitude and azimuth slow motion controls can be changed in 45° increments. This allows the user to position the handles for a comfortable whatever size optical tube is being used.

Accessory storage

The accessory holder has cutouts for your eyepieces. It can also be used to store smaller photo accessories. The holder is mounted using a screw in the middle.

Built-in tool

In order to be able to adjust the friction of the slip clutch, a tool is already built into the mount. It is stored under the rubber cover of the mount and is easily accessible.
