Description:

The AP 152/1216 optic combines lanthanum glass with an FPL-51 element. Thanks to the use of these two special low dispersion glasses, the chromatic aberration is extremely low even for very bright objects like the moon or planets - a true apochromat!

Thanks to the large aperture and the relatively long focal length, this telescope is very universal. It is ideally suited for a fixed mount in a club or garden observatory. The Losmandy rail provides a secure hold. The prism rail on the other side is used to hold accessories, for example guide tube clamps.

With over 150mm aperture and obstruction-free lens optics, the wide world of deep sky objects is open to you: star clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies! For moon and planets you can enjoy the enormously high-contrast image of the apochromatic optics. The relatively long focal length allows high magnifications at high resolution.

Astrophotography quickly leads to great results with a frugal refractor, even for beginners. This is also helped by the rotatable, step-down focuser, which supports up to 7 kilograms of accessories without slipping. With an optional focal length reducer, the field of view can be expanded and the required exposure time reduced.
