MAGUS CHD10 Digital Camera

MAGUS CHD10 is the most affordable camera with an HDMI interface. The camera is equipped with a 2MP sensor and produces realistic Full HD images at a resolution of 1920x1080px. It is an autonomous camera that does not require connection to a computer or the installation of additional software. The camera can be connected directly to a TV, monitor, or projector to display an image. The HDMI interface provides a high and stable transfer rate from the camera to the external screen. Video is recorded at 60fps. The camera combines high FPS and high bandwidth HDMI. Therefore, videos are vivid, with no freezes or gaps between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is well-detailed, moving objects are visible without bugs, and object movement is displayed without delays.

Sensor

The camera is equipped with a SONY Starvis backlit color CMOS sensor. This technology increases light sensitivity and improves camera performance in low-light conditions. The 1/2.8" sensor with 2.9x2.9µm pixels provides light sensitivity of 1300mV at 1/30s. To achieve the maximum field of view without distortion, we recommend using an adapter with magnification of 0.35x to 0.6x.

Software features

The camera uses software to display images on an external display, take photographs, record video, edit images, and measure the linear and angular dimensions of samples and their structures. Before taking measurements, the software must be calibrated for each objective with a calibration slide.

Additional device support

In order to use the software, connect a mouse to the USB port. The mouse control eliminates the vibrations that occur when the user interacts with the camera. Photos and videos are saved to the SD card. The MAGUS product line features monitors that are designed to be directly mounted on HDMI cameras. The simultaneous use of the camera and monitor creates a compact and powerful imaging system for any MAGUS microscope.

Installation

The camera is mounted on the microscope in the trinocular tube/camera port using the C-mount adapter (included). To mount the camera in an eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece, you will need a special C-mount adapter and adapters to fit the tube diameter (not included).
