MAGUS MP4 4х/0.10 ∞/- Infinity Plan Objective

The MP4 4x/0.10 objective has a 4x magnification and a resolution limit of 2.75µm. The useful magnification of a microscope equipped with this model will be in the range of 50x to 100x; such a magnification can be provided by an optical system with an eyepiece with a magnification of 12.5 to 25x. It is not recommended to use eyepieces of lower magnification, as they will not allow you to examine the object in detail. Eyepieces with magnification greater than 25x are not practical in this system, as they will not provide new information.

The MP4 plan achromatic objective is designed for infinity-corrected optical system microscopes and a cover glass with a thickness of 0.17mm. Due to its working distance of 21mm, it can be used on inverted biological microscopes to study samples in dishes with a bottom thickness of 1.2mm. The parfocal distance is 45mm.

The plan achromatic objective lens system reduces optical distortion. Chromatic aberrations are corrected in red and blue colors; spherical aberrations are corrected in green. The flat field makes up to 90% of the visible area. The image is in focus both at the center and at the edge. The objective is good to use with a digital camera for displaying images on the screen or for capture. Wide-field eyepieces with a field of view of 22mm are recommended, as they provide the microscope with a wide field of view. A 10x/22mm eyepiece will give a microscope field of view of 5.5mm.
