Ermenrich Verk LD40 is a digital level created for fast and accurate marking when installing plasterboard partitions, laying tiles, installing suspended ceilings, and performing other tasks that require precision geometry. The device combines high measurement accuracy, convenient laser guides, and a robust ergonomic design.

Specifications and functionality

The built-in sensor provides an accuracy of ±0.1° at key positions of 0° and 90° and ±0.2° in the rest of the range. The device takes measurements in two measurement modes that are selectable by the user: 4x90° or 2x180°. The red laser produces two bright lines (horizontal and vertical), allowing you to instantly transfer calculated values to the work surface and minimizing repositioning.

The high-contrast LCD screen remains easy to read in any lighting conditions and displays readings in degrees, percent, millimeters per meter, or inches/feet. A single press of the (Hold) button locks the current readings on the screen for later reference. The other button (Zero) sets the zero point, switching the device to the relative measurement mode (the absolute measurement mode is used by default). The device emits an audible alert when the user-set value is reached. This is convenient when your attention is focused on another task.

Design and materials

The body is made of aluminum and features inserts of ABS plastic, thermoplastic elastomer, and silicone. This combination makes the device lightweight, shockproof, and IP54-rated, protecting the electronic components from dust and water splashes. The V-groove and magnetic base securely hold the level on metal pipes and beams, eliminating the need for extra fasteners and preventing shifting during marking. The body also has a 1/4" threaded mount for tripod mounting.

Power supply and operating conditions

The device operates on two standard AAA batteries (not included), which last for approximately 9.5 hours of continuous operation. After 10 minutes of inactivity, automatic shutdown is activated, and an indicator provides an early warning of a low battery. This allows you to replace the batteries promptly and avoid unplanned work interruptions. An operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C ensures effective performance both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
