The Levenhuk New Wise PLUS 8x42 monocular is a compact yet powerful optical device. It is perfect for observing nature as well as viewing sporting events or architectural details. Its one-handed design makes observation easy. Weighing just 358 grams, it is light and compact enough to slip into a jacket pocket or small bag, making it ideal to take with you on hikes and walks.

The optical system is built around high-quality BaK-4 glass prisms. They ensure excellent light transmission and accurate color reproduction. All of the lens surfaces feature full multi-coating, and the objective lens and eyepiece are also treated with a special broadband coating. Together, these layers minimize light loss and internal glare, which are essential for maintaining image clarity in bright sunlight or at dusk. The optical design, with 5 lens elements in 4 groups, produces sharp, detailed images across the entire field of view.

With its 8x magnification and 42mm objective lens, this monocular provides a wide 6.3° angular field of view that is equivalent to 110 meters at a distance of 1000 meters. A high twilight factor of 18.3 and a large 5.25mm exit pupil ensure effective performance across a wide range of lighting from bright daylight to low-light conditions. With 17.2mm of eye relief and a twist-up eyecup, the monocular is designed for comfortable viewing, including for users who wear glasses. A diopter adjustment ring on the eyepiece offers a ±5D range, making it easy to tailor the image to your eyesight. A smooth focusing wheel enables quick and precise adjustments. The close focus distance of just 2 meters enables you to examine plants and other nearby objects in fine detail.

The body is made of rugged ABS plastic and filled with nitrogen. This design prevents internal fogging during sudden temperature changes. Its IP67-rated construction ensures dustproof and waterproof operation in challenging environments like rain, snow, or high humidity. With an operating temperature range of –20°C to +55°C, the monocular ensures reliable, year-round performance in virtually any climate.

For extended viewing, it features a standard tripod socket (tripod is sold separately).
