The Omegonpro Segugio Tracker X Evo set is a lightweight, precise motorised camera mount for astrophotography, nightscape photography, panorama and time-lapse shooting. It is controlled via an app, features a built-in battery, supports an additional load of up to 4 kg, and is protected against dust and splashes to IP54. The set includes the Deluxe polar wedge and MiniTrack polarscope for convenient and precise polar alignment.

Product description

The Segugio Tracker takes its name from the Italian word for a hunting dog. The mount was developed and manufactured in Italy by specialists in electronics and mechanics who are also astrophotographers. Its low weight makes it suitable for carrying on hiking trips and journeys for nightscape and star-field photography.

The robust aluminium housing is milled from a single block. Motor power is dynamically controlled according to the load. The mount can accommodate equipment of different weights: with lightweight setups, this allows power to be conserved, while heavier cameras continue to be tracked precisely.

The Segugio Tracker is not limited to tracking for astrophotography. Since it already has a motor drive and a camera shutter connection, the Segugio app is also designed for panorama and time-lapse photography. With sufficient power, the mount can operate throughout the night while capturing a sequence of Milky Way images. During the day, it can record a panoramic sweep across a mountain landscape. Set the required parameters in the app and press “Play” to start the programme.

Once started, the mount continues to run its programmed sequence even if the smartphone temporarily moves out of Bluetooth range.

The Segugio app is required for most functions. It is currently available in Italian, German and English; further translations into French and Spanish are planned. This availability information is stated as of 15 September.

On the underside, the Segugio Tracker can be attached using an Arca-Swiss-compatible profile, a 44 mm Vixen prism rail, or screws. This allows it to be used with different tripods and ball heads. The top axis also features a 3/8-inch thread.

A polarscope or laser can be clamped into the universal camera profile. Although this design looks different from comparable camera mounts, it accommodates polarscopes with a wide range of diameters. Polar alignment can be carried out with the camera already mounted.
