The Omegon Segugio Tracker X Evo set with the Omegon Tripod Ball-Head Pro OM10 is designed for astrophotography, nightscape photography, panoramas and time-lapse photography. This lightweight, precise motorised camera tracker is controlled via the Segugio app, supports an additional load of up to 4 kg and can be easily carried in a backpack. Its aluminium construction, built-in battery, IP54 protection and versatile mounting options make it suitable for both night-time star photography and daytime panoramic photography.

Product description

The Segugio Tracker was designed and manufactured in Italy by two specialists in electronics and mechanics. Its solid aluminium construction, milled from a single block, makes it more robust than many other camera mounts.

Motor power is dynamically controlled. The system can be adjusted for loads of different weights. This allows power to be saved with lightweight setups, while heavier cameras are tracked just as precisely.

The tracker is designed not only for star photography. Because it combines a motor drive with a camera shutter-release connection, the Segugio app can also be used for panorama and time-lapse photography. With sufficient power, the tracker can remain active throughout the night while capturing the Milky Way, or it can record a programmed pan across a mountain panorama during the day. After the required settings are selected in the app, simply start the programme. The tracker continues running its programme even if the smartphone moves out of Bluetooth range.

Most functions require the Segugio app. As of 15 September, the app is available in Italian, German and English; further translations into French and Spanish are planned.

Mounting and alignment

On the underside, the Segugio Tracker can be attached using an Arca-Swiss-compatible profile, a 44 mm Vixen prism rail, or screws. This allows it to be mounted on tripods and ball heads.

The top axis also features a 3/8-inch thread. A pole finder or laser can be clamped into the universal cam profile. Although this profile looks different from those used on comparable camera mounts, it works with pole finders of a wide range of diameters. Polar alignment can be performed with the camera already mounted.
