Product Description

The StarSense Explorer LT series combines traditional telescope optics with smartphone-based sky recognition technology. After placing your phone in the StarSense Dock and performing a quick alignment procedure (about 2 minutes), the app generates a list of visible celestial objects.

Once a target is selected, arrows appear on your smartphone screen, guiding you to move the telescope. When the object is correctly centered in the eyepiece, the indicator turns green.

The system uses a patented star-pattern recognition algorithm (LISA), similar to satellite orientation systems, allowing highly accurate determination of where the telescope is pointed.

The alt-azimuth mount with slow-motion altitude control ensures smooth tracking of objects as they move across the sky. The telescope remains lightweight and portable for field use and travel.
