Product description

The WAVE mounts from Sky-Watcher redefine portability and strength. The drive system utilizes a belt-driven stepper motor combined with a harmonic reducer, ensuring smooth tracking and high reliability. For maximum hardware compatibility, the mount features a dual-fit mounting saddle that accommodates standard Vixen and Losmandy-style dovetail plates.

Operation is highly flexible; the mount can be controlled wirelessly via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using the Sky-Watcher SynScan PRO app for Windows, iOS, and Android devices. It is also fully compatible with popular third-party software including Stellarium, SkySafari, Cartes du Ciel, and drivers such as ASCOM or INDI. A physical SynScan handset can be connected via the dedicated port if preferred (not included).

The included WAVE Carbon tripod has been tailored to match the mount head perfectly, securing tightly via a 3/8" photo thread screw. For advanced setups requiring extra clearance between the telescope and tripod legs, a pier extension can be optionally attached between the tripod and the mount head.
